Free classifieds website review for Malaysia

mudah.my is the most famous or the number one free classifieds site in Malaysia. Every seller (marketer) or buyer go there to place free ad (it is not so free now because they also have started to charge for other premium services now) or to buy something.

Latest trend indicate that Malaysian advertisers are slowly shying away from mudah.my . Why?

Simply because of the example below:

You advertise your genuine product and not something that is listed in mudah.my as prohibited goods or services. Sometime everything is ok and your ad gets published, but sometime you get the following annoying email from them:-

The ad you entered violates the rules of Mudah.

Reason:

The ad violates the rules of mudah.my: MAMA refusal reason

Thank you for using our services, your ad may contain an item / service which is not accepted in www.mudah.my. Please write to us at advertising@mudah.my for more assistance. ------- Terimakasih kerana menggunakan perkhidmatan kami. After that, you have to modify your ad numerous times while ads get rejected. After few tries, some people just give up and those who don’t , with some good luck, the ad gets published.

As a leader in the free classifieds market, mudah.my is trying their level best to clean up the ads that they will publish so that their site becomes more trusted, hence creating a safer marketplace for everyone to do business transaction in Malaysia. However, we would like to caution that attempt to turn down genuine ads will eventually be damaging to reputation and preclude their future growth or expansion.

****-e-mail them, ask them and question them what are the rule that you had violates. (there is not a single reply you receive from them that explain you what are the rule you had violates) 

IF you try changing and re-post your ads, you still receive the same e-mail and it will ask you to re-post you ads again and again. (its like forceing you to register as a PRO Niaga Store user). , BUT once you had register to PRO Niaga Store, it even worst! :-

1. When publishing your ads, you MUST pay at least Rm 50 / $15.25 for your advertising credit. if not..no publish ads for you..ever. how about free? continue reading...

2. When Posting a free ads on certain ads category you will get this:- 

Please register for a PRO Niaga account if you wish to post more than 1 ad under this category. PRO Niaga account helps you to manage your ads better. Click here to register for an account now. 

you wont be able to publish your ads! because they want you to pay 1st.

3. if you registred as a PRO Niaga user. trying clicking the button that say, "insert add for FREE", welp as a PRO Niaga user..NO FREE ads for you. that button would be useless. they want you to PAY 1st, 

4. As a PRO Niaga user, if you want a free post ads, you need new e-mail, new phone number and new IC number to be able to post a FREE ads. so if you want a free ads don't register as PRO Niaga user.,

5. after register to PRO Niaga account on mudah...please be inform that you would never be able to DELETE your ACCOUNT. There is no instruction on how to delete your account, even trying to search the option using HELP or in  Term & Condition they would not say this, nothing. no DELETE button for you. the only thing you can do is send them an e-mail and ask them to delete your PRO Niaga account. after they delete you PRO NIaga account, they will e-mail you this:-

Thank you for writing to us. We can assist you to suspend your PRO Niaga account but once done, you will not be able to use the same personal details to place your ad in Mudah.my. Please reply us with your final decision.

its say you would not be able to use the SAME personal detail to place your ad on mudah.my. this is sucks, its like the you being punish for deleting your account,as the article form classified review malaysia that say this "attempt to turn down genuine ads will eventually be damaging to reputation and preclude their future growth or expansion." we can say that we would agree on this.  

summary:-

• want a free ads on mudah,? ignore PRO Niaga registration.

MUDAH.MY short review:-

Mudah.my claim to be the largest marketplace in Malaysia, Lets see the pros and cons below :-

Pros-

• mudah.my is an online classified-ads website that caters PRIMARILY to Malaysian market only. 
• they provide an online classified-ads for both buyers and sellers who are tapping the Internet community for their business transactions, not more than that. 
• buyer or seller are able to get / meet their potential customer faster.
• FREE advertising. 
• Ads that can be posted on the Mudah.my website are classified according to nine primary categories, which are:-
  • Vehicles - Cars, Motorcycles, Car Accessories and Parts, Other Accessories and Parts, Other Vehicles
  • Properties - Apartments, Houses, Commercial Properties, Land, Rooms and New Properties
  • Electronics - Mobile phones & Gadgets, TV/Audio/Video/Cameras/Games, and Computers & Accessories
  • Home and Personal Items - Shoes, Bags and Wallets, Watches and Accessories, Clothes, Beauty and Perfumes, Health and Slimming, Wedding, Maternity, For Children, Female Items, Bed and Bath, Kitchen and Appliances, Furniture and Decoration
  • Leisure / Sports / Hobbies - Sports & Outdoors, Hobbies & Collectibles, Music / Movies / Books, Pets, Tickets and Musical Instruments
  • Business to Business - Professional / Office Equipment and Business for Sale
  • Jobs and Services - Jobs and Services
  • Travel - Accommodation and Homestays and Tours and Holidays
  • Others - Food, Others, Garage Sale, and Items for Swap

Cons-

• limited to Malaysia only, as transactions out of Malaysia / international, are on the buyers/sellers own risks. (be careful when you use the option "Online Payment/Postage" when posting an ads, as someone from other country will e-mail u and ask your account details, as they said that is for them to be able to bank-in/pay for your items/products). likely as mudah.my don't have any safety system, people with skill will aim for you. (this happens)
• unlike LELONG.com (that use IRSB's system), Mudah.my don't have any safety system, moreover a safe-trade system like Lelong.com. there is no such things. check here about Mudah.
• Mudah.my only made for advertising an item that you can buy and sell through meeting with the real person (safer). Online transaction or payment is at sellers/buyers own risks. 
• Sellers/Buyers face big risks when buying or selling through mudah.my.

summary -

• mudah.my are safer and are more suitable for transaction by meeting the real person and within the reachable / local area only as it's provide a free items and products advertising with some posting rules. 
• Best for Malaysian, when buying using online transactions, (throughout Malaysia or internationals):- Recommended website - Lelong.com or others trusted online trading website.
